Whether a Florida native or visiting for the weekend, Crandon Gardens is a must visit park.  Take a walk on a paved road through the gardens and explore all the lusciuos green and beautiful wildlife that call this place home.  It is an enchanting place for a stroll, a bike ride, wildlife photography or a beautiful selfie. Feel free to bring the entire family as it is easily manageable for strollers, walkers and wheelchairs. This place is absolutely picturesque which is why it is used for wedding photography, professional photography, aerial yoga, and even a tv show. Imagine taking a nice walk on a paved road surrounded by beautiful palm trees, royal poinciana, sea grape, coco plum, strangler figs and many other beautiful vegetation.  
 
Depending on the season you may encounter crocodiles, peacocks, sand hill crane, white ibis, humming birds, wood peckers, red shoulder hawks, soft turtle shells, common moorhen, herons, egrets, belted king fisher, and many more. Crandon Gardens has a lot of history worth exploring.  It was once home to the Tequesta Indians, a cocunut plantation, Miami’s first zoo and finally the gardens that we see today.
